Summary (retrieved 5 hours ago)

CRWV

CoreWeave is a specialized AI cloud-infrastructure provider. It sells access to purpose-built compute, software, and technical support for training and running AI workloads; its economic model depends on contracting demand in advance, building out GPU-heavy capacity, and converting that capacity into recurring cloud-service revenue. (investors.coreweave.com)

The core attraction is exceptional demand visibility and rapid scale. In Q2 2026, revenue was $2.575 billion and reported backlog was about $104 billion, excluding more than $25 billion of net new commitments announced as added early in Q3. Active power reached 1.5 GW after an increase of nearly 500 MW in the quarter. (sec.gov)

Business quality is promising but not yet proven through the full capital cycle. The company generated $1.510 billion of adjusted EBITDA in Q2, but it still posted a GAAP operating loss of $49 million and a net loss per share of $1.14. That gap reflects the immense financing, depreciation, and scaling burden inherent in building AI infrastructure. (sec.gov)

At $63.93, CRWV trades well below its 50-day average of $80.75 and 200-day average of $91.66, despite a 7.32% daily gain. With negative trailing EPS and a negative forward P/E, conventional earnings-multiple valuation is not useful; investors are underwriting sustained utilization, backlog conversion, and a credible path from adjusted earnings measures to durable free cash flow.

The principal challenge is balance-sheet and execution risk. The 2025 10-K reported $45.967 billion of total liabilities, including $14.665 billion of non-current debt and $7.768 billion of non-current operating-lease liabilities, while the company explicitly identifies customer concentration, capital needs, competition, and indebtedness as material risks.
