D-Wave Systems Inc. is a Canadian quantum computing company, and it's one of the pioneers in this field. Quantum computing has the potential to solve complex problems much faster than traditional computing can and could revolutionize fields from artificial intelligence to climate modeling.

While D-Wave's quantum computers aren't exactly traditional quantum computers (they use a method called quantum annealing, which some purists don't consider "true" quantum computing), they've still accomplished significant computational feats. They claim to have achieved "quantum advantage" — getting a quantum computer to perform a task that couldn't be practically done by a traditional computer.

As of now, however, D-Wave Systems is a privately held company, which means that you cannot buy stocks of the company in any public equity market. Investing in the company could be more viable for venture capitalist firms or private equity firms. For individual investors, you might need to wait until the company goes public or find a way to invest in private shares (which can be risky and generally require substantial initial investments).

It's important to note the commercial viability of quantum computing is not yet proven, and many of D-Wave's potential competitors (like IBM and Google) have substantial resources at their disposal. This is still an emerging field, and it could be years before the market is mature enough to deliver significant returns on investment.

As with any investment, you should always do a comprehensive financial analysis, consider your risk tolerance and investment timeline, and possibly consult with an investment professional before investing your money.
